An event is missing
First confirm it appears in Apple Calendar on this iPhone. Changes made on a Mac or another device may still need to sync. In Alarmable, select the correct calendar, check your display filters, and refresh.
The Upcoming list covers the next 30 days. Search starts after three characters and can find titles up to approximately 12 months ahead in selected calendars. Finding a distant event does not mean its alarms are already scheduled.
An event is not protected
Check Calendar and Alarm permissions, selected calendars, master protection, and subscription access. Review global and per-calendar keyword rules, individual event choices, all-day handling, and downtime.
Automatic from Calendar uses the event’s existing timed alerts; location alerts cannot be converted. In Event Protection, you can instead choose Alarmable times or combine Calendar and Alarmable times. Passed alert times are not replayed.
Protected means Alarmable has confirmed the corresponding alarm in the system. Open Alarmable after important Calendar changes and check its latest sync. iOS decides when background work can run.
Custom timing and multiple alarms
Open an event’s protection settings to select Automatic from Calendar, Alarmable times, or Calendar + Alarmable. Add the times you need. These choices affect Alarmable alarms without editing the original event. Identical firing times are combined.
Downtime and travel
Settings → Alarm → Downtime lets you skip alerts during selected weekly hours. It is off by default. Skipped alarms are not delayed or replayed. An event’s Allow during downtime exception bypasses downtime only.
Downtime follows the iPhone’s current local time. Overnight windows belong to their starting day. Travel-related changes reach already-scheduled alarms when Alarmable can run, so open the app after changing time zones.
Already-ringing alarms, snoozes, and sound previews can still sound. Apple Calendar alerts are unchanged.
Sound, volume, and snooze
Choose a sound in Settings or a calendar’s rules. Selecting a sound on iPhone triggers a short real system alarm preview. Deliberate previews are separate from Calendar protection and can sound during downtime.
Volume is controlled by iPhone Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone and Alerts. Alarmable has no independent alarm volume slider. Check an actual alarm on your iPhone before relying on it.
Scheduled alarms offer native Stop and Snooze for 5 minutes. Snoozes can sound during downtime.
Trials, billing, and restoring purchases
Both plans include all available features. Eligible customers receive 14 days free, then US $1.99 per month or US $14.99 per year. The App Store shows local pricing and eligibility before purchase. Switching plans or reinstalling does not provide another introductory trial.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions; cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Use Restore Purchases in Alarmable Settings with the Apple Account used to subscribe. Canceling renewal keeps access through the verified entitlement period. After access expires, you can still browse events and edit saved settings.
When expiration is verified, Alarmable removes future Calendar alarms when it can run. An already-ringing alarm is not interrupted. Temporary verification failures are treated separately from confirmed expiration.
